BOART LONGYEAR ACQUIRES NAMING RIGHTS TO NORTH BAY MEMORIAL GARDENS ARENA

Boart Longyear (the Company), the world’s leading provider of drilling services, an expert in providing valuable orebody knowledge, and a pioneer in innovative drilling equipment and performance tooling, today announced it has acquired the naming rights to the North Bay, Canada sports arena, which will be known as Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens. Since Boart Longyear introduced the Q Wireline system in 1966, retrieving the inner tube from the core barrel has been handled the same way: an overshot with lifting dogs (spring loaded hooked ‘fingers’) is lowered or pumped into the hole until it snaps over a pivoting spearhead mechanism affixed to the inner tube assembly.
